almost all of the sources from this track originated from various thermal vents and geysers at lassen volcanic national park, including the terminal geyser. when invited to perform at the terminal warehouse space in oakland, california, i couldn't resist performing an early incarnation of this piece. i also presented this piece at the 2010 soundwave festival in san francisco.
